Can I just confirm that these don't offer ANY surround sound on Blu-rays at all? Or is it just that it doesn't offer 7.1. In other words can I grey 5.1 from this headset?

Surround is 5.1/7.1. Otherwise its stereo.

I don't know, his Engrish is terrible. It was pretty hard to tell what he meant.

After using my headset for nearly two months now, I'm convinced these are the best thing to come out since teh interwebs.

It does do 5.1 surround, at least when i used it watching Toy Story 2 it sounded like 5.1. I believe it just doesn't do 7.1 with movies, at least that's what i read.

How could you tell? Its virtual first of all.

Has anyone been able to find a hard case that these will fit in? I love them and want to be able to take them with me to and from work but don't want them getting jacked up...

I know I can't be the only person that has looked for a quality hard case that these will fit.

No clue but I want to get something like this so I can hang it up when not in use. Right now I just lay it down behind my monitor.

Even my relatively high end Ultrasone HFI-780 came only in a soft felt bag.

Perhaps you can find something over at http://www.head-fi.org.

That stinks... I've been searching the net but haven't found a case that will work without being WAY too big or too much money.

It's a long story, but i re-checked and stand corrected. It still sounds great though, even in stereo.

Finally got myself a pair!! Charged for 1.5hrs, then tested with BF3. All i can say is

Haven't tested the mic yet, but sound wise, absolutely no complaints from me

I just charge with my controller cable. No issues thus far.

They seem to hold their charge a while so there's no need to just leave them plugged in too long.
