Default What is going to happen with Dark Knight?

Now that Heath Ledger has passed away? I don't think he finished filming did he?

EDIT: Sorry I didn't see the other post. Mods feel free to delete this thread.

filming has been done for quite some time..

the real question is what will happen in the 3rd movie as it was supposed to be about the Joker Trial or something involving him and a few other characters..

but let's not think about this right now..

he just died a few hours ago

and seriously.......

Exactly. I could care less about the movie. I was just curious if he was done filming or not. Anyways, I'm so shocked right now.

CGI is extreemly expensive, they had to do it for Gladiator with Oliver Reed. They'll get another actor.

Unfortunately, he will be written out. Plenty of other Batman foes to use, though the Joker was probably the finest.

Feel sorry for his kid.

I swore they had him in the 2nd and planned to continue the storyline throughout the 3rd..

the good thing is he spends the whole movie wearing make-up....so they may take the Rachel Dawes route and get someone who looks like him..

They just won't go with the Joker story in the 3rd film, or if they really want to (doubt it) they'll recast. Case closed.

All of his stuff is done for the 2nd so we'll get to see his final full performance intact.

The film it will affect is the new Terry Gilliam film (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) where they still have 2 weeks of shooting to do. No one knows what will happen there.

But I doubt anyone who can do it justice after him. From what I've heard he put Nicholson to shame which would be very hard to do.

Wow I just had a major WTF moment. I hadn't heard about this yet. Very messed up. I am really looking forward to seeing his portrayal of the Joker and hoping the Joker would be in the films to some degree for awhile.
I have liked every movie of his that I have seen though I haven't seen all of his films. I still haven't watched brokeback mountain.

they just need another "actor"...not someone who does the same thing every movie...

I'm talking about someone who gets into their character and performs the role...

at least the potential replacement will have a blueprint to follow...he just has to be good..

From what I hear it was a drug overdose. It is just a shame, he was a young actor with a lot of potential. He had a great talent that would have been developed further. It's just sad to see someone waste something that was at their finger tips. He also left behind a daughter.

I am also looking forward to seeing his role as the Joker. If it is as good as the insiders are saying it is, it is going to be very difficult for someone to follow.
