In need of serious help. TV remote Issue

I own a 42" plasma Hyundai IT Q421S. I recently purchased this item and it is an excellent product. The only problem is, that the remote that comes supplied is terrible. You have to be 4 feet from it and directly in front. Its simply terrible. I live in Canada so its difficult finding items that are compatible with a Korean made television. I was wondering if any of you know of a universal remote that works with Hyundai televisions. I have been searching forever and non seem to be compatible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you have any technical skills you can go into reprogramming JP1 remotes. There are groups that have compiled codes for almost any device made. Plus it allows custom reprogramming. I've done it before and it works well.

It's a cheap way to get a great remote if you have the tech skill.

Make sure the problem is with the remote. Get a universal remote or test the product in the store. I have seen some consumer products have bad remote sensors that caused one to have to be within a few feet or inches of the device. Things you can do,

1. Change the batteries with fresh ones in case the batteries are low.
2. Try a universal remote, if you still have the problem then either the display was designed for 4 feet range or you have a bad IR sensor on the Plasma.
