Default Need some advice

i live in the Netherlands, so the type refferences maybe a little different that in the usa.

I have the Onkyo 705, I hooked 7 JBL Northridge e10 bookshelfs speakers plus a JBL e 150p subwoofer to it.

I want to up-grade my speakers. I want your oppinion on these two:

Jamo s606:

The S 606 front speaker has a 25mm/1in tweeter, two 127mm/5in midrange drivers. This ensures strong and clear vocals and instruments while the 203mm/8in side-mounted woofer delivers a deep, thunderous bass. The S 606 frontspeaker is fully equipped for optional bi-wiring and bi-amplification and comes with spikes.
Specifications:

system 3-way bassreflex
Woofer (inch/mm) 8 / 203
Midrange (inch/mm) 2 x 5 / 127
Tweeter (inch/mm) 1 / 25
Sensitivity (dB - 2,8V / 1m) 89
Impedance (Ohm) 6
Weight (kg/lb) 24.1 / 53.1
Dimensions (HxWxD/mm/in) 1080x190x345
Frequency Range 42-20,000
powerLongTerm 130 Watt
powerShortTerm 210 Watt

Or the klipsch RF 52:

Specificaties

frequency response: 34Hz-23kHz +/-3dB
power handling: 100W RMS / 400W Peak
sensitivity: 96dB @ 2.83V / 1m
nominal impedance: 8 ohms compatible
high frequency drivers: 1" (2.54cm) Titanium diaphragm compression driver mated to 90x60 square Tractrix® Horn
high freq crossover: 1900Hz
low frequency drivers: Dual 5.25" (13.3cm) Cerametallic™ cone woofers
enclosure type: Bass-reflex via rear-firing port
height: 95.5cm (incl.voetjes)
width: 17.2 cm
depth: 36.2 cm
weight: 17.3 kg
finishes: Black Ash woodgrain vinyl

If i buy one or the other, i will olso buy the center speaker and the surrounds from the same brand and line

i knw this probably isn't to helpful, but since no one else has responded i will give you the advice that helped me out with my system.

specifications and stats are really not as important as how the speakers sound to you. i went and demoed tons of speakers in store, then waited for them to go on sale or found them online for cheaper. but what you think sounds good matters infinetly more than what someone else thinks or what looks good on paper. once i came to understand that putting my system together was easy, because no one else's opinion really matters.

i know. its not to helpful, but its all i've got. currently i have jbl balboa series speakers for my front and center channels, onkyo front channels as my side channels, and polk audio front channels as my rear channels. also i have a velodyne vx10 sub beefing up the side channels and an acoustech h100 as my main sub. i love my setup. others may cringe just hearing the frankenstein system i've pieced together.

I am partial to the Klipsch, but I have never heard the Jamo speakers before. I did a quick search on them, and they were bought out by Klipsch in 2005: http://www.klipsch.com/news-center/p...-jamo-a-s.aspx

I have Klipsch synergy speakers w/ the same specs (cones are made of different materials) and I love them, so I know you will be impressed by the Klipsch speakers. A nice perk w/ the Klipsch speakers is that the front screen is attached via magnets, making for easy removal and a nice finish when they are removed.

Is price any concern here?

Thanks for the reply!

Well I listend to both, and i can say something for both! I find that they both sound amazing! The klipsch sound a bit better on low volume levels, But the jamo are much cheaper.

so i think i will pick up your advice and go and listen to them both once more

the price is no concern, BUT the jamo are al lot cheaper.

The jamo's cost about € 180,- (euro's) a piece

The klipsch cost about € 230,- (euro's) a piece
