What are some good Sniper Games? - Blu-ray Forum

Are there any games out there that are 100% sniper situations? The best part of the COD games for me is the ones when I have the sniper rifiles. And of course my favorite gun in the Uncharted games is that dragon sniper.

Most games I see that have sniper elements, it's only a small part of the gameplay. You'd think there'd be a sniper related game out there. I know there's some new game called Sniper...something, but I don't know whether that's any good or not.

This has lots of sniper parts but also parts where you aren't sniping... Its somewhat fun but the ai is TERRIBLE, but the idea was outstanding it's just too bad execution is so poor that being said, I'd say the game is worth 20 bucks.

i bought this game a couple days after release. it's a decent game, but i have to agree that the ai is horrendous.

It sold amazing for a no name title/ publisher. If they fix the ai issues and really flesh some things out this could be a top teir game. (granted audio and video won't ever match big budget games)

Well this game for me was not even close in what could be acceptable in Audio and Video and i don't even want to talk about the AI , the only cool thing was the cut scene for the head shoots .

Oh I think there were allot of things that weren't acceptable for the 39.99 they wanted, but I think you'd agree had it been polished properly the concepts presented (and even some of the maps/missions) would have made it a top tier game.

I'd still say its a top game from a nobody studio/company.

I loved the Silent Scope games...Too bad the home consoles can't properly use the scope aspect like it was in the arcades

Maybe it is , but today they have the tools to step up a notch and they diden't , not that there is a perfect game out there but they went out in a total different league

I remember a part that after you run from a camp you pass truth a tunnel the AI tells you not to engage the hostiles on the other side of the bridge and take the water to go around , but it's impossible since no matter what you do the AI always see's you , so you really have to engage to pass truth the river .

lol yeah I'd lay in some spots next to the ai and they wouldn't see me meanwhile I'd be 600 m away getting shot at with an ak

For the PS3 I can think of Socom 4. It's not a pure "sniper" game, but you can usually have a sniper weapon (plus another primary weapon) equipped at all times. I enjoyed it, even though it was a departure in gameplay from the previous installments.

If, however, you have a PS2, I strongly recommend a game called Sniper Elite. It was challenging, with a really cool "kill cam", and you had to take into account bullet drop, heart rate, wind, etc. when taking your shot.

I wonder how much the old Silent Scope machines run nowadays... maybe I can pick one up on the cheap?

you know what falls second place?

sniper ghost warrior - limited edition via gamestop. preordered. $59.99.

yup. not as painful, but more expensive.

on a positive note, it was a good game, but also had some of its flaws as mentioned, on the AI side. 90% of the times, you can snipe someone, i LOVE every aspect of it, but man, the AI automatically knows where you are. the 10% gets people confused.

anyways, its a great game for the right price. its probably the only one with the ops sniping only prerequisite.

socom does that too, but also is more or less squad based, and you have to babysit your crew. i liked it, but that ones number three on my list.

of course, this is all a matter of personal opinion and experience so take it with a grain of salt. home theater stuff? different story.

What's wrong with the AI? Does it cheat or is it just stupid? Stupid enough to make the game easy?
