Question Pearl vs. (46") X series vs. 60" SXRD RP

In here in Singapore, these 3 cost exactly the same at the Sony Gallery.

8K SGD or about 5K USD. Which one would you buy, if you had 8K to spend?

Thumbs up Projector all the way for me...

Just don't 1/2 step on the screen as it's equally important.

I think I second Kierre.

For example I watched yesterday several hours of BD's on the Panasonic 103" Plasma. Pretty good , But all the time I kept thinking: if only it was that tall, but 2.40 wide! So mmm.. 103" is too small for me

Nothing like a theater-like huge CinemaScope screen

IMO

The BRAVIA X series outside USA, Japan and Taiwan ONLY USES BRAVIA ENGINE EX (DRC mf-version 2.0)

While North americans, Japanese and Taiwanese have a higher-spec model which uses BRAVIA ENGINE PRO (DRC mf-version 2.5)

Plus, even if the X250A (our version of the XBR 3) has been launched, it only has 2 HDMI inputs (instead of 3 inputs on NA, JDM and TWN models)

I'd rather get a Samsung Mosel F7 LCD TV 1080p:

-shiny piano black also (just like Sony BRAVIA X series w/ Piano Black coating)
-same S-PVA panel
-same specs
-cheaper price all the way

Downside: Made in Thailand unlike the Bordeaux R series which is made straight from Korea.

Other than that, I'd get that TV over the Sony (especially if the latter would price way high)

Two cents
