AFAIK, not a single title in hidef. The best titles are all owned by Warners in the US. Their commitment to their catalog has been not too good since about 2005 or so. Hope that changes since their library is so incredible.

I definitely think Cagney will get some releases before too long.
Certainly Yankee Doodle Dandy will eventually get released by Warner Brothers, and hopefully White Heat also.
as far as other likely titles it's hard to say.
I'd love to see some of the Warner gangster films come out on bd, so hopefully that will happen.
definitely a travesty that no JC films have been released on bd so far.

2012 will mark the 70th Anniversary for James Cagney's Yankee Doodle Dandy and what an enormous loss it would be if Warners marketing people overlooked the opportunity to bring this movie to Blu-Ray. Looks promising - let's hope so.

WB and other companies seem to care more about John Wayne on Blu-ray disc compared to some actors who can actually act and aren't the same damn character throughout their entire career.
I do hope the Warner Gangsters Collections are released onto Blu-ray soon.

This just popped in my head as I was BD shopping this weekend. I didn't think there were any but the ones I'd like to see are..'G Men' & 'Angels With Dirty Faces'. 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' is ok and I'd buy it but would love the 30's & 40's movies allot more

Would be easier if WB just released Blu-ray versions of the Gangster Collections. All four or five volumes of them. Just slim cases, BD50, DTS-HD MA 1.0, AVC with high bitrate with film grain intact and the exact same extras.
Same goes for many other actors and actresses who have Signature Collections. Boxsets would just be easier in fact. Course I'd buy more Errol Flynn, Humphrey Bogart, John Garfield, Stewart Granger, Cary Grant, Greta Garbo and many others who are very under-represented on Blu-ray disc format.
By the way, PIXAR made Finding Nemo and Disney Studios just distributed it.

Those would just be simple upscales though...and while I would love to see more of these classic stars on blu, let's do it the right way. I've been looking at some of these classic star sets on DVD recently, tempted by all these 30-40% off coupons that we've been graced with recently. Haven't quite pulled the trigger, though.

I would say of all of Jimmy Cagney's films Yankee Doodle Dandy will grace the format soonest, though I'd like to see his gangster films (White Heat, Angels With Dirty Faces) make the jump sooner rather than later.

This has to get a bump for a huge update. I know a lot of the obvious Cagney movies that are still MIA but what are some of the more obscure Cagney movies that hit Blu. I'm not a fan of musicals so probably won't pick up footlight parade, or Yankee doodle dandy.
