Less than £100 for the Original Series set from Sainsburys Entertainment, beats the £150 that Amazon wants.

these blu rays are vastly over priced for such an old show. I bought Season 1 and yes it does look stunning, the new fx are done by guys that where fans so they took a lot of care not to over do them, the result is a perfect balance. But for nearly £50 a season for a 45 year old show, it really is taking the piss.

and thats coming from a hardcore trek fan

For those interested, each season (bluray) are around 20 euros at this time in France on some shopping sites.

Is there any shop selling the individual seasons for a good price? its crazy the price on Amazon.. I don't think I've ever seen it on special.

I got the first season for $NZ24 on its first release over here in NZ, but they never released Seasons 2 and 3 due to "lack of sales" apparently.. need to get them elsewhere, but the prices are so expensive!

Some times it works out though I bought 3rd Rock From the Sun Complete Series for about £13 a few years back!

I love Star Trek though and a complete collection would be a great addition to any collection.
My husband and I still don't have all the seasons of all the series, our problem is I started buying them in the fatter stile boxes years ago before the slimmer boxes were available (for around £25-£30 each second hand) we don't want to mess up the collection by getting the slim ones now.

We have been lucky recently though. At CEX on Tuesday I picked up Enterprise season 4 for £12 and my hubby got season 2 and 3 (one for just under £11 and the other for around £14). Also he picked up the last season of TNG we needed off Amazon/Play (not sure exact site he used) for under £14. Ok there not brand new but they all look it so far and for prices which make some of the seasons cheaper then there slimline counterparts I can't complain.

Apart from TOS we just have one season of DS9 to still get, and 6 seasons of Voyager then we are done. Still having a little trouble with finding all the Voyagers we still need in the fatter cases but we are getting there

It started to pick up around season 3 when Manny Coto came on board. Really enjoyed the Xindy story arch they had going towards the end..

Can't wait for Season 2 and 3 to finally arrive in the post then I'm gona try and find the time to watch Enterprise all the way through from the beginning, remind myself why I loved it so much the first time round..

Funny, I hated those thick cases, bulky, not userfriendly things. Sold them all. Except for my DS9 seasons, still have those, not because I find the boxes itself appealing, I'm just hoping....really hoping on a Blu Ray release.....Praying TNG turns into profit for paramount...

Well if TOS set prices are anything to go by, then TNG season sets will be overpriced. And Paramount seem to love their DNR machine so they could end up undoing all the restoration work they put in...

Really was hoping they had this in the Black Friday deal. It's a good price but still out of my price range for now. Hopefully I should have it in the new year

Just in time for TNG sampler

I was hoping the same. I tried to get DS9 but didn't make it. I was really hoping for a complete Stargate SG-1 set for about £50 I would have been thrilled to bits with that one (or Atlantis).

I read a lot of complaints about the packaging, on amazon site. I prefer the seperate releases, or the US box but i s also still too expensive.

Got the Scandinavian version, which should be exactly the same, for about £45. I really don't like the cardboard packaging.

How much do you think a complete set of TNG DVDs (region2) will be worth?
They're in the silver LCARS style boxes. Would like to sell them before the Blus are released but not sure if i'm better doing them in one lot or seperatly...

Does that store do UK shipping?

I ordered it from boostep.fi, but they also have a UK-shop. Price is higher though and postage seems a bit steep. Info on the page says it has only scandinavian subs, but the discs have UK/Germany/Australian-markings, they should have english subs.

With postage its approx £67, but still a hell of a lot better than the UK pricing. Now could someone remind me, shipping within Europe still subject to UK import tax?

Since Finland is part of EU you won't have to pay any import tax.
