Hi all
I am considering subscribing to QuickFlix. I'm just wondering if anyone here uses them and what the service is like, any positives and/or negatives. I mainly want to try it for unlimited streaming. If anyone uses the streaming, what is the quality like? 720p/1080i/1080p? Also how is the sound? Thanks I advance ![]() |

I use quickflix but not for streaming (only have mobile 'broadband', our phone line isn't eligible for adsl... FML) so I can't answer those questions but in terms of the posted discs....
You have to pay extra for blu-rays ($3/month) which is terrible. Also lately I have noticed a massive delay in them posting. Like it used to be that you would mark something as returned and then they would send you your next title that afternoon but I've been experiencing 24-48 hour delays lately, between marking as returned and being notified that they've sent a new title. So by the time I receive the disc (if sent Monday, I usually receive Wednesday etc), I only end up having about 2 titles per week (my plan is 2 at a time). It's still cheaper than blind buying and easier than going to the video store (I dont drive) but they've been dropping the ball lately. Sorry I can't comment on the streaming at all. I wonder if their postal service is going to get worse and worse as streaming takes over.... |

I really am not impressed with the catalogue Quickflix has on offer, also the price is pretty average...I mean its the best on offer in Australia but still kind of average. I am located in Brisbane, QLD and I use Netflix through my Apple TV. It's amazing value. $8 a month + $40 p/yr for the proxy. Easy to set up and never run out of things to watch.
