Default All Hail the Power of Bauer, in Blu!

I realize the Blu Train is just now beginning to railroad HD DVD but I think the BDA would have a much easier time accelerating this process by releasing some exclusive Fox TV shows, namely 24! I'd have absolutely no qualms about plopping down an ace for a season or two of 24 on Blu and with the HD DVD camp releasing Battlestar soon, the BDA will have to counter it. I know that the Sopranos recently came out on BD but does anyone have any info about any BD exclusive TV shows coming out on Blu-ray soon?

Me either bro. I am a 24 fiend that has to get his Bauer fix every Monday night, nothing is more important on that night and 24 on Blu will be absolutely cherished. I think I may have to build a shrine, but that would probably send the wrong message to the GF...

Guilty as charged... Stern rules and I love it when that midget calls in or when they play his voice mail messages - it appeals to my immature side. Release Private Parts and Beer League on blu-ray!!!

Heh! I will never give in to ETM's demands to be called that. Just like his suggested alternate name "eric the idol expert".

My favorite alternatives to ETM are "Eric the bore", "Eric the astronaut" and if you remember from recently, "LJO"

I will definately be buying Prison Break on BD, not so much of a 24 fan never got into it.

Other shows I'm hoping for are:
Heroes
The Wire
Friday Night Lights

The Wire is probably my best bet as HBO seems to be supporting Blu-ray?

I would definately buy 24 on Blu-Ray. I'd also love to see Lost on Blu-Ray the production values are soo high that it makes great demo material.

I'd buy lost 24 and prison break on BR.
I'd hope the season sets of 24 were released reguarly though.. waiting around for some older tv shows on dvd has been a pain.

I'm just waiting for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel" and "Firefly" to be released on Blu-ray from Fox. Too bad that "Serenity" is only on HD-DVD due to Universal still being the odd one out.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Firefly hit Blu-ray sometime soon, but it'll be quite some time if we ever see Serenity.

24 Would be good. For the parents who will buy their little girls anything the OC would be a good clincher and a very good seller. House would be amazing because Hugh Laurie plays a very good badguy :P. Prison Break season 2 has been disappointing and I never thought I'd say I hope it gets cancelled after this season

I haven't seen season 1 and 2 of 24 in a long while, since they aired really but does anyone know if they were shot in HD or at least 720p? I'm hoping they were but I have a feeling they were shot in SD cause I don't remember the letterbox when I first saw the eps on tv.

no idea how they were shot, but if it was on film they can always scan the film and display it at a higher resolution

The DVDs were anamorphic widescreen so they were shot in 16:9.
