Amazon question - Blu-ray Forum

Maybe a simple AND stupid question, but I don't understand these e-mails I get from Amazon about their promotional $3 credits for Amazon instant video content. I must have hundreds of dollars in this account by now but I have no idea what it is. A guess......Could this be that you can purchase movies via the internet then view on your PC instantly for a charge? Can someone shed a little light on this for me please?
