Default HD DVD section

IMO, HD DVD section should be created instead of dumping it together with Off Topics

It would only encourage more HD DVD threads.

And probably undesirables.

No. They belong in the Off Topic or General section. There is no need to post anything about HD DVD unless it is off topic about Blu or general format war talk.

whaddya want next, hd dvd trolls to be allowed in blu-ray.com?

topics solely about hd dvd do not need to be talked about. look on how to word threads correctly to avoid this. instead of writing things like "Woolworth's drops HD DVD" write "Woolworth's goes blu-ray exclusive".

I mean rather than dumping it together with off-topic...... Or at least make a sub-forum in off-topic to separate it from the rest of off topics.

I felt weird, after reading HD DVD topics, then reading things about weather

Nah, there shouldn't be an HD-DVD section here... I here what you are saying, as far as organizational purposes. But this is Blu-ray.com, screw HD-DVD, let them stay cluttered in the off topic section.

Exactly. The only things I want to read about HD DVD are the altitude reports as it crashes and burns.

Maybe if there was a sub section in the OFF TOPIC, but only if there really are that many HD DVD posts on here. It is doubtful that they will do that, but at least it won't show up on the home page.
Once again, this is Blu-ray.com, if you want to talk HD DVD, go to HD-DVD.com or AVS.

I just love to see its downfall, and its silly comments it made (just like today's woolworth response)

its partly cloudy with a chance of hd fans crying.

when I want to hear hd dvd supporters whine I go to hdd.com or avs. I stay here when I want to regain my sanity.

an HD-DVD section? Why, are they so desperate to find a new home they are willing to come and live here?

No, this site is all about blu-ray, we should not have an HD-DVD section. They don't deserve one!

what kind of ridiculous request is that? not to flame the original poster or anything, but this is a site for blu-ray enthusiast and creating an HD-DVD section will only cause more trolls to show in the forum! we are trying to have civilized conversations and not hopes of a resurrection with an imaginary 51GB disc or a new soon to be cup coaster player.
