I was watching the Royal Variety Show last night where the westend cast performed, and was thinking "I wonder if this will renew interest and lead to a blu release" low and behold, here it is

Never seen it before, but always loved the title song.

Well, Warner have been planning this for a 60th Anniversary edition for a long time now, so it's nice to finally get some sort of confirmation that it is coming

My brother and I watched this for the first time the other day when it was on TV and we enjoyed it. So long as it's around the £13 mark or less then I might get it.

Great news, ought to look lovely in HD. Still, some Fred Astaire on blu-ray would be even better if you ask me... which you didn't...

I'll have to keep an eye on this one. If the US release is TOO far in the future I may well get this UK version. Unless the US version will have significantly BETTER extras.

it will be interesting to see how good the video quality is as they lost the original negative in a fire

they showed it at the BFI Southbank a week or so ago, and the print they had looked amazing, digitally restored/remastered and all that.

It will also be a 'Double Play' which includes a DVD according to Play.com.
