Default Sharp BD-HP20U Audio Output Question

I have a (hopefully) quick question about the audio output capabilities of this player. Should I go ahead and purchase this player, I will be connecting it via HDMI to my HDTV but I plan to run a separate digital audio cable to my audio receiver. (My receiver has no HDMI inputs ... that will be the next upgrade.) Will the player simultaneously output audio through both HDMI and a digital audio cable, or will it be necessary to go into the settings to toggle one or the other? I'm hoping that in this manner I can use the television speakers at some times and go full on with the surround system at others without having to fiddle with a settings menu.

Thanks!

Thumbs up Sharp BD-hp20u

I've had mine for a couple of months now and I love it.

Yes it will. You can connect using the HDMI and 5.1 analogue or fiberoptic at the same time. In set-up you do need to choose which one you want to use to send the signal to your amp but it is a one time setup.

Both sound great but I think I prefer the 5.1 analogue so I can get the uncompressed audio. With my system (Yamaha with Klipsch speakers) it seems to give me a clearer sound.
