Default Official blu ray month??

Is there an official blu ray month? If there is not then we should have one now for february( I wanted march for my birthday but why wait). If ALL blu ray owners just went out and binged for 1 month, especcially now, then that would help end this"war" and get moving on. HD DVD is not dead. I know we all would like to think so but it aint over till it is over. The hd dvd fire sale plus the superbowl ad has the potential to being a turning point. I am doing my best to educate people. Buy your wife or girlfriend the notebook or something she likes and for girls buy your husbands or boyfreinds ....some blu porn.....j/k, anything action.
If anyone here is on board with promoting this "Unoficial bluray month" Just say "I'm In" and get back to what you have done in the month of February. Things like what movies you bought, players you bought and people you have "helped find the way"
If there is already an official bluray month then....just buy anyway.

Question Mine was January!

If ever a month was a Blu-Ray month it was Jan for me. I went Blu back in March of 2007 and ended the year with an even 50 titles. That averaged out to be 5 titles per month for 2007. I blew that all to heck in the first week of 2008 alone. I picked up the 3 Resident Evil BR titles on Jan 1st, followed that up with a couple of titles from Wal-Mart (Con-Air & Shoot'Em Up), a few from Hastings (Hollow Man & The Last Samurai), and several from Amazon (First Blood and Lethal Weapon among them). Total count for this month alone? 14

My wife is starting to give me the evil eye if I don't slow down a bit (and the month isn't over yet). Feb looks to me to be a slower month, but March appears to be another big month: ID4, I Robot, and Predator to name a few.

How about after Warner totally drops HD-DVDs? Sometime in June, so make it July (which just happens to be my birthday month).

you missed the Q4 push when most members collections grew by leaps and bounds. i went from 5 to 30+ in less than 1 month... Things are slowing down a bit, I think march will be a slaughter like this war has not yet seen.

We have been doing nothing BUT keeping it up for the last 3 to 4 months now. The format war has already ended. It's just going to take a little time before everyone realises this. As long as there are titles released that I am interested in, I will continue to purchase BDs. I won't just buy, buy, buy to support a War that has already ended. Release the titles I really want like Fireplace 2 and Fishtank 3 and I will buy, buy, buy!

I feel like a total cheapass for waiting on good blu deals to pop up to make major purchases. The biggest random blu purchase I made was 300. Other than that, all my movies were bought when it was on sale

Ditto! If I was to pick a Blu-ray month, it would be January in honor of the Warner announcement. History in the making.
