Good movie. The ending is a little sudden...but ultimately unnerving.

I saw this at the Midtown in Harrisburg yesterday. Great film, the acting was very good. (Hawkes is always fantastic) I was impressed with Olsen's acting ability, she carries the film.

If your interested in the subject of modern day cults and damage they can do, this is for you.

Yeah I didn't care for the ending at first, but after sitting with it I think it was good. Very unnerving. Wish they held the shot longer actually.

Good film. She is very "Olsen" looking, which put me off at first because I don't care for those socialite types, but I think she definitely set herself apart from her sisters.

Once again, another release with crap artwork. The theatrical poster more effective and I think rep'd the tone of the film.

I really hope that is not the cover. It makes it look like a film about child molesters.

Why can't they stick with the theatrical poster artwork.

So torn on whether to get this or not. It's a minor masterpiece with an absolute killer lead perfomance by Elizabeth Olsen. The cinematography is gorgeous.

And yet, I don't know how many times I'll watch this film ever again. I may look at it once every five years or so....is that worth a purchase...or just one or two more rentals, I don't know.

I rarely care much about the cover art, because people have been wanting the "cooler" theatrical poster art since the beginning of dvds...if not back during vhs and it rarely happens.

Sometimes I agree that a cover isn't a good choice, but this isn't one of those times.

I like this one.

It looks great.. its just funny that people complain when they don't use theatrical poster art, then when they do, people don't even realize it and complain anyway. Sounds like a bunch of hot air.

Yeah, it always seems like 'lesser known' movies are marked at this price, or at least $25. Same with Hesher, Take Me Home Tonight, Submarine, etc..

Isn't that what the movie is about? Or close to that?

From Wiki.com:

"The film focuses on Martha (Elizabeth Olsen), a young woman who flees from an abusive cult in the Catskill Mountains that is led by an enigmatic leader, Patrick (John Hawkes)"

I think the cover seems appropriate for the kind of movie it is.

Maybe it was, but I remember these:

I like the 2nd one the best. I think they picked the worst one, as usual.

Not at all. I believe she is supposed to be like 18-22yrs old range, and she willingly joins the cult. There is no child molestation in the film at all. Maybe some quasi-rape/rough sex scenes, and it is still a minor aspect of the film
