It's been playing in HD for several weeks now on EACT, is it just an up sampled DVD release or is there a Blu ray in the works ?

Well, Universal is releasing The People Under the Stairs and Firestarter, so seeing this being released on Blu-ray wouldn't be too surprising. Hey, I'm all for it! I love this one!

Guess this is why Scream isn't releasing any more Universal titles this year. At least two of the more requested titles (this and People Under the Stairs) are coming from Universal themselves. Wonder what else we could see?

I can confirm that he's very in-the-know, just based on other comments he's said and his contributions to the Horror Blu-Ray Facebook Group.

But this might be better off in the wishlist section until we get more info. Hopefully it turns out to be true.

Finally saw this movie a little over a year ago. I would buy the Blu-ray in a heartbeat. I've grown rather tired of the more common angry flesh-eating "monster" zombies that have become the norm since George Romero. I find the original Haitian voodoo zombies a lot more intriguing, so I really enjoyed this.

Watched it last week. Could take it or leave it. I much prefer People Under the Stairs.

I hope this happens. The film is streaming on Netflix now, but only in Standard Definition.
