Default Red Pill 101's 'theater'

Hey everyone! After being on this site for a while I finally decided to upload some theater pics. I've learned so much from members of this site over the years and have greatly enjoyed looking at all of your galleries!

Not sure how to embed the pics into the post but here's the link:
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...r=Red+Pill+101

Please be kind... I'm quite happy with it but constructive criticism is welcome.

Finally, if you check it out...THANKS!

Welcome to the HT Galleries Red Pill 101!

Maybe you're already doing this, but when watching a movie or listening to music try spreading those front speakers apart. You're not getting any proper imaging from them the way you have them setup in the pic.

You have a nice big room and it looks cozy! Congrats!

Nice room and nice setup but i agree with John I think spreding those front speakers would improve imaging and the overall movie experience.

Thanks very much for all your kind words!

I may trying moving those front speakers out a bit wider if that what you guys think would sound better.

Thanks alot! I got the TV stand at Target a little over a year ago. It's really sturdy and well-built. We have a friend that works there and got her discount.

That's what I am considering. I'm just afraid of the mount not being sturdy enough. Id hate to wake up to a new tv laying on the ground.

Yes, spreading them out a little bit further would make a better front sound stage. I can’t tell how far you sit back from the TV, but whatever that distance, your speaker spread should be about the same or a little less, and each speaker turned toward the listening area. This should make a nice triangle.

Also, you should lower your left & right speakers also.

When you lower them, try to get all three tweeter(left, center, right speaker) inline with each other. They don't have to be perfect, try not to have more then a foot apart with height adjustment.

It's hard to tell, but hard is your center tilted upwards? When you make the height adjustments, make sure to aim the center the same as the left and rights.

Hope this is not too much for your first visit?

I have seen that in the store and it is very nice. It has several positive reviews on the Wal-Mart site too. I'm sure if it were not sturdy enough someone would've wrote a review about it by now.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will lower my front speakers if that's what you think would sound better; try to get them more in-line with the center and spread them out a bit.

Plus, if I lower them and my cats knock them over that's less of a fall!

Thanks for the advice everyone!

I've since lowered my front speakers as low as they will go. I spread them out a bit too. I DO notice a difference in the sound staging (if that's the right term). I think it sounds much better this way. With the help of some two-faced tape I've also pointed my center speaker straight. It was tilted upwards a bit.

I've updated my gallery with the changes and also went a little crazy with the movie screenshots...
