Default What is the hardest OOP U.S. Blu to find?

So what does everyone think the hardest out of print title is too find without paying a arm and leg for. I picked up 2 today that I have been hunting for. Got zodiac and hot rod for 17plus tax.... NOT too bad.

i dunno, i'd have to disagree... i've seen quite a few copies floating around... i had a new and sealed copy and tried to get rid of it for a good while but no one wanted it... i recently ended up trading it in to amazon for a whopping $29... i would go with zodiac, hot rod, willy wonka and easy rider digibooks as being some of the hardest to come by

Malcolm X (for a couple more weeks at least) and Ishtar come to mind (both were recalled)

Also couldn't you import the UK edition of Blades of Glory? I'm assuming the since the US disc was region free the UK disc is as well.

Other than the CC's already mentioned, it seems like it's location-dependent.

I have owned several copies of Zodiac and Hot Rod but I have never seen Blades of Glory anywhere in person. I haven't seen Willy Wonka's digibook since the first month it was released.

And, although not rare in many places, I cannot find Pinnochio with a slipcover.

Hm. I'm almost positive that the last time I was at Best Buy (maybe a month ago) they had a whole bunch of Willy Wonka digibooks. Zodiac seems to be fairly easily attainable at Blockbuster (used, but I got mine with both discs, looked like they'd never been touched, with the original artwork). Hot Rod I've stumbled across various places, usually bargain bins.

Right when The Third Man was announced to be going OOP, i was so close to buying a couple of them from the B&N sale just to hold on to..... I had them in my hand and put them down..... I still regret doing that

It is an excellent film, and a top notch release. Glad to have it in my collection.

By the time I heard it was going OOP, it was already drying up. This BD shot up in price VERY quickly.

Also, the Twilight Time edition of Fright Night went quickly, and no, I do not want to open up that can of worms here.

For those that missed out on the Criterion edition of The Third Man, and are dying to get it on BD, you can buy the other official U.S.A. region A BD release from Studio Canal/Lionsgate. It is readily available, is supposed to be quite good, and costs less than list price!

Blades of Glory? Is that the figure skating spoof with Will Ferrel? If so, then that's probably why you couldn't give it away...you'd have to PAY me to take it.

The overall quality of the Lionsgate release is *exactly* why the Criterion version is commanding such high prices... so, yeah, for people who don't want the best blu of "The Third Man", that's absolutely the way to go, I guess.

I just can't help myself here. I apologize if this comes off as boasting. Just wanting to prove my legitimacy.

This is going for $175.00 on Amazon. I really need to hit the trading forum!!!

Believe it or not, I had this in the trading forum before...and I didn't get any PMs with trade offers.

Anyone that bought The Third Man and sold it for megabucks owes me a cut if they found out about it going OOP from here. I'm the person who posted that the Criterion BD was going OOP on this forum.
