Although Attack of the Clones is my least hated of the prequels, it still has the greatest cheesy lines from it:

Padme: Ani? My goodness, you've grown.
Anakin: So have you, grown more beautiful... for a senator, I mean.
Padme: Ani, you'll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine.

Anakin: (whinning about Obi-wan) It's not fair! He doesn't understand!

Anakin: (busting the moves on Padme) I don't like sand. It's coarse and irritating and it gets everywhere. Everything here is soft and smooth.

This is a TERRIBLE film. But it's one of those films that falls into the "so bad it's good category." I really enjoy it. Bad acting, bad editing, terrible special effects, this film is the holy grail.

Is this for real? Tell me that wasn't in the movie and it was actually dubbed over for that YouTube clip.

My vote would go for Obi-Wan in "The Phantom Menace," but even that is quite over-the-top. I don't think it's physically poissible to scream "Noooooooo!" in a respectable fashion.

In fact, I wonder if anybody has ever screamed "Nooooooooo!" in real life. Something about it just doesn't work outside of the silly movies.

I've never seen an actor going from the lowest valley (big cringe on the "gets everywhereeeee....") to the highest peak (he stares RIGHT at Portman's chest when he says "everything here is soft and smooth..) in one line.

Quite possibly the best and worst line of the series in one!

Koover, this isn't directed towards you, you just brought it up...

I think the bad dialogue is more on Lucas' writing than anyone else's acting. I think all of the principal actors from the prequels (aside from Lloyd) have proven that they can act.

I think Harrison Ford even mentioned something about the craptastic writing in the documentary Empire of Dreams.

Honestly . . . read this excerpt from the script and imagine your favorite actors, and can you see it going any better?

ANAKIN: I don't want to hear any more about Obi-Wan. The Jedi turned against me. Don't you turn against me.

ANAKIN: Because of Obi-Wan?

PADME turns around and. sees OBI-WAN standing in the doorway of the Naboo Cruiser.

PADME: No!

ANAKIN: You're with him. You've betrayed me! You brought him here to kill me!

PADME: NO! Anakin. I swear ... I ...

ANAKIN reaches out, and PADME grabs her throat as she starts to choke.

OBI-WAN: Let her go, Anakin.

ANAKIN: What have you and she been up to?

OBI-WAN: Let her go!

ANAKIN releases his grip on the unconscious PADME and she crumples to the ground.

ANAKIN: You turned her against me.

OBI-WAN: You have done that yourself.

ANAKIN: You will not take her from me.

ANAKIN throws off his cloak.

OBI-WAN: Your anger and your lust for power have already done that.

OBI-WAN flings off his cloak.

OBI-WAN: (continuing) You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind until now . . . until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy.

They circle each other until OBI-WAN is near PADME. He places his hand on her.

ANAKIN: Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan. I see through the lies of the Jedi. I do not fear the dark side as you do. I have brought peace, justice, freedom, and security to my new Empire.

OBI-WAN: Your new Empire?

ANAKIN: Don't make me kill you.

OBI-WAN: Anakin, my allegiance is to the Republic ... to democracy.

ANAKIN: If you're not with me, you're my enemy.

OBI-WAN: Only a Sith Lord deals in absolutes. I will do what I must.

(ignites his lightsaber)

ANAKIN: You will try.
