As long as Disney releases all the rest of the DACs that haven't hit Blu yet, before they go full-on streaming with that all access thing they're going to be launching soon (or has it already?). I'll be happy when I have a full set of 51 DACs in Blu on my shelf.

Some manage to buck the trend though. I considered and still do consider Bambi II to be a very sweet and gentle little movie. It's one you can watch and just relax too. Brother Bear 2 was also very good even if the animation of the sequel could never match the majesty of the originals theatrical compositions.

Myself i thought an extremely goofy movie was better than Brother Bear 2, i felt that the story was kinda lame in BB2, Bambi II is one of disney's best sequels( It does have more talking than the original which isn't a bad thing i just thought i would throw that in there)

Oh that is a major point of contention for critics of Bambi II. Bambi had very little dialogue, but Bambi II was done in the trend of the current family films where talking is a necessity. However, it was well written for the most part and I've made clear my love for Patrick Stewart as the Great Prince. That was inspired casting and quite the coup IMO. Yeah, the story for Brother Bear 2 was not original, but it was well told and I mentioned the voice cast was more than solid in their work. I also really like Melissa Etheridge's songs. I bought the whole soundtrack off i-Tunes. Bambi II's soundtrack as well.

i feel like we got a little side-tracked on this thread about sequels haha anyways back to pocahontas, I would think that we would get this 1st quarter hopefully, maybe they changed it with what the diamond edition would be in march since latt is taking the february date.

That tends to happen quite frequently. Anyway, on subject, Pocahontas would be a welcome addition to my shelf. It may not be the best Disney has to offer, but there is more than enough beauty to warrant a Blu release. I just hope they give it a good transfer.

Pocahontas and Pocahontas 2 will be released individually in Germany. In Greece we also have seperate listings for them, so I guess Europe in general will get the same treatment.

Sounds great, hopefully Denmark will get them separately, too, like we did with Fantasia and Fantasia 2000

I'm afraid (if we take into consideration that Fox and the Hound / 2 was released as a double feature in the US and Australia) that you're gonna get the same package Australia does for Pocahontas. Just a guess.

all i can say is i really hope we don't get that horrid cover. I liked every cover for pocahontas better than this. Long story short i hate Australia's cover.
