United Kingdom Question for fellow importers...

I'm looking to order the digibook version of Citizen Kane from the US. Can anyone recommend the best place to import? Don't want to order it and find it dented/damaged when it arrives!

Many thanks in advance!

Best advice for any collector -of anything- is do not broadcast that you collect because you'll make others want to obtain that item

But to answer your question, I'd say eBay.com or eBay.ca

And you'll probably get it cheaper (and not draw attention to yourself) if you use a reshipper based in the US like http://www.shipito.com I use them for all sorts of stuff and of course you can get most store exclusives (like Citizen Kane) delivered direct from stores.

I got the best version of Citizen Kane here for 99c off eBay. Had to sell my car though to get it shipped to me but hey, it's all about collecting

I'm now renting out that 50th Anniversary Edition (just the box) to a lovely couple in my back garden.

PlanetAxel have it at a pretty good price. It works out cheaper than it would ordering it from Amazon. I ordered it yesterday and it's already shipped...

I did see that but noticed it might have dents! Meh, I'll take the risk. Thanks

There's a chance it might have dents from anywhere, Axel are just nice enough to warn you.

Is Movietyme safe to use? Are you likely to get a customs charge or do they ship from within the UK?

Same question for DVD World USA. I notice they don't take Paypal so a bit reluctant to use it.

Movietyme handle customs. Usually takes around five days to arrive. DVDWorld USA have been nothing but trouble from my own dealings with them. Terrible customer service.

Thats a sweet price from Axel for what looks like the BestBuy exclusive edition. Awesome picture quality, will have to have another view on the weekend as I was rather drunk when I watched it months ago.

ah, it was £37 delivered when I ordered (before release), and I had a £2 voucher too. That was for the big box set too, not the digi-book.
