Best way to view my bluray disk i've downloaded - Blu-ray Forum

My question is, what is going to be the proper way to rip my DVDs for playback on a 60" HDTV? I'd like to preserve the surround sound and, obviously, the picture quality. Don't care much about menus, extras, etc.
