The cover looks really good! I'm looking forward to watching it in blu ray. does anyone know what extras it has, since it's a collector's edition?

According to Amazon FR, the French edition will feature the extended director's cut (142 mn) and a booklet. It's probably the same master as the UK one, since both BDs are distributed by Fox. If I'm not mistaken, the US edition from Universal is the shorter international cut.

![]() ![]() Certainly a bit different! If it has the 'full' (AKA Criterion) version then I'll be buying it. http://www.amazon.fr/dp/B006CWM6H0 http://www.bluray-mania.com/dvd-blu-...20-brazil.html Oooer: ![]() http://www.amazon.de/dp/B005C7S576 |

German disc thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/germany/19...inute-cut.html
It seems UK has the longer version. Very odd we've had no review https://forum.blu-ray.com/united-kin...ml#post5554669 |

I just read that the UK edition and the German one (presumably the french one as well) boasts a meager track (DD 2.0 @ 224 kbps) for the original audio. Is it true? If so I'd rather stick with Universal edition (despite of not being the extended cut) once it hits the 10 bucks mark.
Dolby Digital Stereo for a classic title released by a major studio in 2012? I cannot believe it! Please, tell me it's not true ![]() Last edited by Octavio; 01-21-2012 at 08:28 AM. |

Strangely enough, the UK Blu-ray is the Criterion director's cut, not the UK theatrical release. Wait and see if the French disc bests it will lossless audio.

Review of the French disc: http://www.lesnumeriques.com/film-bl...2684/test.html
Looks like we have 2.0 (DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0) audio confirmed -no problem with that here. |

What about the sub situation? Are there forced French subs on the feature and extras ?(actually is there even an English track on extras?)

In the link posted by The Driver it says that the feature doesn't have forced subs, but I can't see anything about the extra's.

I don't think many people here are too bothered with some extras the distributor might of dug out of a skip somewhere. We have 15 years' worth of DVDs for the fluff and already have fairly definitive extras on the Criterion releases. Important thing here is we're getting the version we believe is the definitive version which we know and love and in HD obviously. Oh, and for this particular thread, a nice book edition too ![]() And it looks like the UK/French/German is that version. |
