I grew up watching this movie and it would be awesome if this was on Blu-Ray. I remember John Lithgow being great in this movie. Anyways anyone else watch this when they were a kid?

Absolutely. In a lot of ways I prefer this over ET as far as kid-friendly creature features go. I regularly quote this movie, Lithgow is great in this and I'm still blown away by just how expressive Harry's facial prosthetic is, even by today's standards.

Would love to see this in high definition and considering how much care they put into making the Harry costume I can see it holding up very well visually.

RIP Kevin Peter Hall. He did an awesome job in this and as the Predator in both original films.

I liked this movie i remember watching it as a child, but I have not seen it on anything except vhs, maybe it came out on dvd but i haven't seen it.

Recently I watched 30 Rock where they showed John Lithgow watching this movie, quite hilarious. It was a good reminder cause i totally forgot about this movie.

I watched this movie early this year and oh, man the memories that I had of this as a kid just came flooding back to me. I honestly haven't seen this movie probably since it was originally released back in 1987 which would have made me 3 years old at the time it came out. This was still as funny and entertaining as it was to me back then, would it be worth buying though? I seriously doubt it just because while it is a good family-themed movie my tastes in films have changed somewhat since my childhood
