Back in the other two rambo threads I predicated that for Lionsgate to get maximum publicity, they needed to release the other 2 the same day as the 4th one on blu, and also as a boxset.

It seems that they see this opportunity!!

SWEET!!

Sounds nice. I am buying all of Rambo the movies. I just realized that First Blood is out, I know that I have seen in the past, but it never registered on my mind. Very nice news for us, not so good for others.

This would be so awesome.

When I went and saw Rambo, they had a preview before the movie about the newly released special edition versions of the previous three on DVD, and it made me wonder why we didn't see the same love on BD.

If Lionsgate releases all of these at the same time to purchase that would be amazing, and I would be first in line.

I also echo the Rocky box set for the holidays sentiment, that would be totally awesome.

Unfortunately, and I hope this doesn't prove to be true... I am now seeing the opposite, and this is slightly newer. I loved the new Rambo, and definitely feel that he could make another one. But...

I already own first blood and i use it on occassion to show off just what bluray can do to older catalog titles. I would def pick up 2, 3, and 4 the day they come out. Hopefully we see all three hit stores at the end of May. If there is a box set, i may just get that and give my first blood disc to a buddy who bought my old player. Heres hoping. If lionsgate does in fact release these on the 20th, they will be coming out with both national treasures which may or may not be a good thing. I would buy all 5 in one trip. time to wait and see

Awesome. A boxed set would be cool, but individuals would be fine too.

Please Lionsgate, redo First Blood with uncompressed PCM or lossless.

Dam I have the 1st 3 Rambo's on HDDVD and they have lossless DTS MA HD, I hope the 4th one on Blu does too, unless it's released on HDDVD overseas then I can complete the set on one format.

Hmm...that does conflict. I wonder if originally he was "done" but with all the hype around it a 5th has started? It depends on when these quotes were done, sometimes they are taken out of date.

I have the first one and would like the second one but the third is iffy. I haven't seen the 4th one yet as wife doesn't want to go so its a rental first and then decide if I get it later.

The 4th is easily the best and most fun of all of them. I would recommend it as a blind buy. I havent talked to anyone that didnt like it.

Default Rambo II & III coming to Blu in May

Dave Lambert over at TV Shows on DVD (also TV Guide) has posted word that Lionsgate is working on Rambo: First Blood, Part II and Rambo III for Blu-ray release, with a tentative street date of 5/27. This is almost certainly timed to coincide with the DVD and Blu-ray release of the new Rambo film, currently in theaters.
