USA Resurface Blu Ray

I was also wondering if resurfacing a Blu Ray Disk like a DVD could harm it. The internet says both, that it could harm it and that it works fine. What gives?

i would only do it as a last resort. meaning if the disc doesnt play whatsoever. i have a disc doctor and used it on a few cds with mixed results. some worked, some didnt. if a blu ray doesnt play at all due to damage, then you have nothing to lose. there should be no reason to resurface if it plays fine.
