I'll miss Jaws and the first JP film (until Universal comes to their senses), but those are the only two from the that list that would be must buys for me.

On the other side; Close Encounters, all of the Indiana Jones, EotS, Amistad and SPR are all must buys.

Didn't we just go through this last month with the HD-DVD group ending up having to publicly apologize to Spielberg for making announcements like these without anything concrete to base them on?

Most of these are "post format war" titles. I will be very surprised if I see them on HD-DVD...ever.

Remember this:

The inclusion in the January 29 update of our "Coming Soon List" of three Steven Spielberg classics was an error on our part. The HD DVD Promotion Group expresses sincere apologies to Steven Spielberg, Universal Studios Home Entertainment and HD DVD fans for this mistake.

We will endeavor to prevent any similar mistake and to provide accurate information.
That would be a first.

I guess Speilberg didn't like the fact that his movies were put on a list before he was asked.

Let's wait until we actually an official announcement from Universal and any other studios on any of these titles. That's when it will actually mean something.

LOL

The list is just a breakdown of which films would get released on which format if this thing were to drag out. There's def. a chance that this thing is over before any Spielberg exclusives are released.

Oh I'd buy most of the Speilberg's for sure. I'm a fan.

Based on the HD-DVD backtrack I'd say he may be waiting for a clear victor though.

If so, Blu-ray gets all those movies

Oh ok. So it seems that that is just a list the webmaster compiled and not anything concrete. Thanks for sharing.

It's simply which movies he made with which studios. Not a release list.

Wow cool. I can't wait for that one to come out. On a side note, I got to watch War of the Worlds in High Def recently. It looked awesome.
