Question PS3 on-screen color?

What color is the basic on-screen color (or background color) of the menu? I used to have black tone (with the wavy image effect) but when I hooked up my PS3 to a different TV, the color was in yellow tone. So, I'm confused. Is it normal or HDMI problem or something like that?

The color changes with the time of day, I believe.

That sounds right! Before I hooked it up to a different TV, I'd never turned on my PS3 at a different time. But, when I play a CD, the color is always in purple tone though. I guess that's what it should be.

This is correct. I've heard it also changes on certain holidays, although I can't substantiate that because I've only had mine for a few weeks.

The color changes at the beginning and middle of every month and throughout the day. Heres a breakdown of how so

The purple tone from playing music is seperate from the background you have setup. It is a standalone visualization for music. Hit the square button I believe to switch between a few different visualizations. The wavy line only comes in purple in this instance.

You can also set it to one color all of the time. I have mine set to Blue.

Except night-time black, which is a shame because it's my favourite!

Agreed. Surprised this hasn't been made available yet. Maybe with the next update.

i think screen saver-like images should be available. like a space scene where things move around or the stars twinkle. that would be really cool
