Default Scariest Game?

Where got a Scariest movie thread, but games scare me way more than movies because you're actually interacting with the storyline. In your opinion, what the scariest game to date?(all systems)

Mine is Turok. Just kidding, mine is really Fatal Frame 2.

P.S. Seriously, The new Turok is horrible

Doom 3 for me. I think a lot of it had to do with the atmosphere and sound of the game. Plus, since it was so dark, I had to sit close to the monitor and concentrate really hard on the screen to see. So, whenever something jumped out at me, it usually worked (made me jump). It's also probably my favorite game ever although I don't think most people liked it all that much.

Edit: I haven't played Silent Hill but just from seeing the movie, I can imagine the game is pretty scary. I'm sure I'd like it.

Fatal Frame 2 is the scariest game I have ever played. The atmosphere and the sounds effects and the sudden surprises make for a great gaming experience with the lights off and the volume up. It was difficult to find, but I found it on E-Bay used for $30, and it came with the manual and everything. Great game!

The original Alone in the Dark when it came out for the PC was very scary.

Another really scary one, on the PC, from way back, from Sierra, was Phantasmagoria, that game was just downright spooky!

+1 Resident Evil for me when it first came out. Again, I had no idea what it was really about, which helps the scary factor.

It came out back in 1995... the sequel was not as good, but very creepy as well, with one scene that was so freaky that I can't get it out of my head to this very day.

Anyone remember a game called "D" ????(Sega-Dreamcast)

Ps- "The Darkness" was kinda' creepy at first, as well (Mike Patton's- voice over. I was playing alone, at night, in the dark )

I was terrified of Tetris. The blocks came down so fast at level 10!
