The only reason I'm not 100% sold that The Artist has it is the past. Remember Avatar and Brokeback Mountain. Both supposedly had it in the bag.

Huh? The Hurt Locker and Avatar were considered to have basically an even shot at Best Picture going into Oscar night. Avatar was no favorite. Brokeback Mountain losing out was only a mild upset. Neither were considered overwhelming favorites like The Artist is. Hope I'm wrong.
