Q : What movie you last saw @ your H.T. ?!
fill a simple and short questionnaire. This will tell fellow forum member what movie is worth seeing/renting/etc. I know there is one for movie theaters but why not one for Home Theater ... isn`t that what this forum is all about ? Movie : Stars : Comments/Media : Smilie : [just copy/paste those 4 lines to your post and add your comments, so we keep it in order and easy to read, thanks] I`ll start : Movie : dario argento`s 4 flies on a grey velvet Stars : 3/5 Comments : usual argento stuff. as a fan ill give it 3 stars. viewer not used to argento might find this a bit boring. not the masterpiece as advertised. but worth seeing. the media was shameless 40th anniversary blu-ray Smilie : ![]() PS. comments or smilie are not mandatory. fill if you like ! So it's a combination of the official bought/watched megathread and the movie review club.
![]() Well, last one I saw was "Anatomy of a Murder." Movie: 4/5 (pretty darn long (I did fall asleep once ![]() PQ: 5/5 (daaaaaaammmmmnnn, this looked gooooood!!!) AQ: 4/5 (yeah, I know they probably cleaned it up really good and all, but I still found the dialogue a little tinny) Comments: It was worth the $18 preorder price. ![]() Last edited by Al_The_Strange; 03-01-2012 at 03:21 PM. |

WINGS (1927)
Movie: 4/5 PQ: 4.5/5 AQ: 5/5 Comments: The night after the Oscars, I just had to watch this very first film to win the Best Picture Academy Award. Classic epic war romance of WWI pilots and real planes actually being flown by actors and stuntmen long before today's fakey CGI. The reconstructed orchestra score and sound effects that simulate what the movie would have been like at its premiere bring it all to life to a point where you forget this is a black-and-white silent film. After the success of THE ARTIST, hopefully more people will check out this fantastic Blu-ray, which looks and sounds amazing projected on a big screen with a good sound system (and rumbling subwoofer). It certainly blew away my small audience, and made me want to watch it again and have a few more people over! |
