I was surprised to see that their is no Blu-ray for this movie.

Does anyone know if one is in the works?

One of the best movies of all time!

Pretty sure Gladiator is a Universal/Dreamworks title.

Me too, many many moons ago.

Not for the time being, it is a Universal picture.

And yes - but of the last 10 years, not ALL time.

Those studios exclusively support HD DVD...for now.

I am sure that this will be one of the first titles released on blu when they make the switch. It was big!

I think I'll just cry in every thread that mentions my favorite movie

I want it on Blu so bad...it's one of like 5 DVDs left in my collection that I haven't replaced in Blu...

It is awsome in HD... much better than the DVD (and that's PAL DVD over here). It was shown recently in the UK on Channel 4 HD, so I Sky Plussed it which I'm keeping hold of till it comes out on BD. The only downside is the advertisement breaks.

A definite must have title when it comes out. Releasing this title would certainly be a big olive branch from Universal to the BD community. I hope Mr Scott agrees

It's now on Cinemax HD along witth Braveheart in HD. Clear your DVR because it comes on Wed. night March 5, on MaxHD.

I think it's safe to say that we're probably going to have it on Blu within the next 12 months, if not hopefully less, now that Universal has announced they will start producing movies on Blu-ray. Keep your fingers crossed everyone!!!

Well I don't get Skinema-- I mean Cinemax, so i will just have to miss it. But hopefully they will release this to BD this year. It will sell very well, especially with lossless 7.1!
