Default How to Transfer Recording from DVR?

Hi all. I have 45 recordings on my dvr that I need to edit and burn to discs. I was wondering if it is at all possible to transfer my recordings from my dvr hard drive to my iMac? I would be greatly appreciative if anyone could tell me how to do this.

DVR: Explorer 8300HD
Compute: 2011 iMac

Thanks again
