I actually disagree with your statement. If someone is addicted to porn, it can have an effect on their relationship emotionally and mentally for both partners in many ways, and their expectations in the bedroom, which could lead to physically and/or all sorts of other problems.

You left out the obvious, objectification of females, violence and drug addiction, rape,,peadophillia. It should be recognised that pornography leads technology including the development of Blu-Ray and 3D,pornography has existed since a very small Germanic fertility idle with large hips and boobs,I think about 10,000 yrs old maybe 15,000 yrs, does that make porn relevant maybe, maybe not, mankind is still here!Freud if you read all six volumes, you get to the end to find out the Mother did it!,Jung your better half did it,there's the rub.

Who removed my "Family Guy" clip, making fun of Quagmire. It was done in gest and whoever complained about it, certainly could have PM'd me and I would have removed it myself. I'm asking the mod to please PM me with an explanation. Have we become so Politically Correct that a goofy clip from a TV show is not permitted. It was hilarious and anyone who found it offensive is wound pretty GD tight.

I was just talking about this with one of my friends over the weekend. I don't really feel as though I have a smoking addiction, because I could (and have) gone months at a time without smoking before (for large stretches of the last 12 months, for example). Currently, I'm at a place in my life where I do feel the need to come home from work and take a few minutes for a smoke break and to collect my thoughts. I'm aware that this is not the most healthy habit, but I am young (24) and don't mind yet that I'm poisoning my body; besides, I find a lot of therapeutic value in taking a step back from day and collecting my thoughts. I do a lot of deep thinking when I'm taking my smoke breaks... like I'll plan out my next month's finances, or I'll brainstorm birthday present ideas to buy for someone, etc. A lot of my better ideas come to me when I'm smoking.

tl;dr... basically, I'd like to consider myself a functional smoker and not an addict. I would say that I smoke ~3 times a day currently. By the end of the month, I expect to be taking about a two-month break again, until summer.

These days, I fear I'm becoming addicted to coffee. I have at least one cup a day, but there are some days where I could have several cups in a day, and I've recently found there are days where I just don't feel awake or comfortable without it.

I might be a chocolate addict too (never really thought about it, but I do eat at least a little every day).

I am definitely addicted to movies (Blu-Rays are the bomb ). I usually watch one a day, but there are times when I can squeeze in as many as five or so. Last year, I watched over 400 movies (more than one a day ).

Definitely addicted to music of all kinds (rock and metal being my top faves ).

Video gaming might be an addiction. I do have times when I want nothing more than to run home and pop a game in. Trophy hunting is definitely an addicting habit (although I see people here with way more platinums than me). Overall though, I consider myself a casual gamer; I don't even like the shooters as much as everybody else, I like the RPGs and story-based games a lot more.

I may partake in the occasional bit of adult-rated media, but I wouldn't call myself an addict. It's actually been months since I looked at my hidden X-rated folder...

I do bite my nails, but usually only because they're getting long. I suppose I should use clippers instead.

I don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs, and I don't curse much.

All things considering, I think I got it made.

Had to really think here... what an interesting read this thread has been so far!

I'd say my biggest addiction is TV. I watch too many shows! I'd say at least 25 hours of it a week if I add up all the hour long and half hour sitcoms I watch in a given week (providing they're no repeats).

I don't smoke, do drugs, or drink coffee but have been getting a Timmie's hot chocolate every day at work.

So my money spending habits are on blu-rays... even though I have to save money, I keep giving in and buying blu-rays on release day instead of waiting a couple months to save a few bucks (even though I don't even get around to watching them until they've dropped in price anyway )

Buying Blu-ray movies. I can't even stroll into a store that sells them without walking out with 1 or 2 in hand.
The Internet. I spend too much time on the net. Not even just this forum. It's not a bad addiction, as I can go days without touching it(and do so regularly), but it's still a bad habit.

no offense at all but i would NOT continue down the path of logic you are currently running...can i ask when you started smoking if you are now 24? Because you sound like me when i was around 18...saying i can quit whenever, i only smoke socially etc etc etc...during this time, i too quit for months at a time but yet, always fell back into smoking again thinking it was no big deal...i could quit at any time, right...... started smoking casually at proabably 14-15.....at 18 i was probably saying its no big deal... a few years later i tried to quit...couldnt do it...here i am at 28 going on 29 and still smoking....

sorry for the Daddy lecture...but seriously, you sound exactly how i did until it was too late and youre hooked....

i smoked a pack a day in college....would sometime smoke 2 packs a night depending on what we were "partying" with for the night....i now smoke about 1/2 a pack a day which isnt too bad i guess but i have to stop at some point....problem is, i do enjoy smoking....

so, my addiction is smoking and think the only thing that may actually get my ass in gear and quit is having a kid unfortunately....

Your assessment is pretty much Dead Nuts on. My own fault for continuing this habit. I should quit but quite frankly, don't want to.

I started smoking in the late 70's and I think they were under $3 a pack.

You're right. They must have been under a buck a pack.

I smoked a little back in high school (early 80's), and I don't recall them being more than $0.75-0.80/pack. One could afford to smoke back then!

Judging by your prices, I assume you're Canadians as well.

Oh, c'mon. Are insults really necessary?

I assumed you remembered I grew-up a Browns fan, which was because I was born and raised in Cleveland (no Cleveland jokes, please ).
