It really depends what kind of movies your interested in.
But Crank and the Departed are excellent choices.

Its sounding like you should wait till the 13th and get the Casino Royal. There is a thread here on it, it is sounding like it is going to be a great movie.

There's a lot to choose from . I would reccomend "Click" but that's my opinion.

My first recommendation would be The Departed. Great quality in the movie itself, video, and audio. The Nine Inch Nails concert is excellent, and The Prestige is at the top, as well.

If you're looking for something to show off the excellent video and audio quality, get Nine Inch Nails: Beside You in Time. If you like the band, there is no reason not to get it. As a display tool, the video is amazing. When blue and red lights are on at the same time on "Closer" you can see the purple where they mix, and it forms a gradient, which caused my friends to lean back, open their eyes wide, and say, "Whoa."

Sony had tons of product placement in Casino Royale, so it should be top-notch. Except for what I thought to be too long of a poker scene in the movie, it is excellent. Bond has none of the refinement that he has in the other movies, as he is described by coworkers to be a blunt instrument.

Hopefully Big Fish is getting a quality transfer treatment, since the rich colors Tim Burton put in that movie make me want this on blu-ray at this instant.

I haven't watched Crank on Blu-ray, so I can't comment as to its video quality, which I assume is excellent since so many people own it and on regular DVD it looked very good, a compliment to the equipment used. However, as for buying a movie, avoid this one if you like your movies to have substance. I like Jason Statham (at least when Guy Ritchie, pre-Madonna marriage, directs him), but Crank and The Transporter movies are so horrible they can't even be put into the "so bad it's good" movie list. The horrific action sequences, which would be except for the impossible moments they have (like the BMW jumping over the rail in The Transporter) just make these horrible movies if you like substance.

I do own Gone in 60 Seconds on regular DVD, since the main chase is a good way to show off surround sound, but even then the "big jump" is just horrible.

In Crank, when he throws the cab driver out and yells "Al-Qaida," sorry about the spelling there, and the patrons at the cafe start beating him, I wanted to break the disc.

The Departed and The Prestige are both excellent choices. Not only are they great movies, but the quality is top-notch. In The Departed, the first time Matt Damon goes into the Police headquarters, the detail of the exterior makes you think you are there.

Black Hawk Down is excellent in showing the increase in video quality. I bought this and put in my DVD copy on my Xbox 360, paused both versions at the same point, and switched between the two sources. The black levels are 10x better, and the colors are so much deeper.

I haven't watched Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang on Blu-ray, but it is a very good movie, one I thought would be bad, and I have read from many that its quality on Blu-ray is excellent.

Lord of War is another great choice.

I can't speak of Click, but I remember when it came out someone on Youtube summed up every Adam Sandler movie by explaining the main plot parts and showing clips from all his movies. I like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, athough Gilmore is just Madison w/ golf instead of a hotel, and a grandma instead of school.

Quick edit. Gilmore is just Madison w/ his grandma instead of a hotel chain, and golf instead of school.
