Default You Guys Gotta Read This!

This is from the head HD DVD PG guy in Europe.

http://www.dvd-intelligence.com/main.../2_olivier.htm

My favorite line by far is this: "If you move away from the overhyped claims and closely examine the ‘attach rates’ – which is the information that the studios really track –"

I mean this is just silly. You have better attach rates and studios don't care. I mean, this is just a flat out lie. Poor guy, he's going to lose his job soon.

He's just doing his job.

I'm just glad I don't have to do it.

Thirty years from now, those guys will still be jabbering about attach rates on their deathbeds. It's sad really.

Attach rates is the ONLY time that the HD-DVD group include PS3 numbers.

When you sell as few players as they do then the attach rates are easy. The truth--hddud is dying fast and this guy is just a PR stunt. Whatever he said doesn't really matter now, BB and Netflix has just about sealed the deal for the BDA. And with rumors of other retail outlets switching, its OVER!!!

I do like the fact that the hddud format players are full spec capable. BDA needs 2.0 players at around $299-399 fast. Its sad that the BD players are so far behind. This is the only failure of the BDA plan thus far.
