Well I bought the guard and leon when it was on the offer. £10 well spent.

The guard isn't supposed to be a great transfer I think but £5 is very cheap compared to everywhere else

3:10 to Yuma is alright.

'Leon' was in this offer last time I looked, but it's not anymore.

all the rest are a bit crap

I could only pick From Dusk Till Dawn(I had 1 or 2 already) so I ordered two copies of that and one of my mates is going to give me a fiver for the other one...sorted.

I''m going to pick up Drive Angry in this, purely down to Amber Heard. Not sure whether to get From Dusk Till Dawn or The Spirit though, the former is the better film, but since Sin City is one of my favourite looking blu-rays, I would quite like to see The Spirit too.

Anyone who overlooks Julia's Eyes needs to get slapped with a Kipper.

If you buy The Spirit over From Dusk Till Dawn, the universe will tear itself apart. That's important stuff, man!

Well, I just read the review for FDTD on here, and it didnt seem like it was worth the upgrade, since I already have it on DVD.

I've seen The Spirit, it was underwhelming, but it wasn't the worst film I've seen. Reading the review, the visuals look stunning on Blu-Ray, and since it works out at £2 (Drive Angry is £8 everywhere else online), I took the plunge.

Sorry universe!

Then you weren't looking hard enough. There's load of good/very good/excellent films in there:
  • The Guard
  • From Dusk Til Dawn
  • Mimic
  • The Faculty
  • Highlander
  • Che (1 and 2)
  • Julia's Eyes
  • The Wrestler
  • Hamburger Hill
  • 3:10 to Yuma
  • The Fog (though it's supposed to be a shoddy transfer)
  • Time Bandits
  • First Blood
  • Persepolis
  • Austin Powers
  • Good Night and Good Luck
  • Jacob's Ladder
  • In the Loop
  • This is England
  • Night of the Living Dead
  • Son of Rambow
  • Somers Town
  • The Special Relationship

(Obviously in order of their placings on Play, not quality - This Is England and In the Loop would not be below Austin Powers)

Now whether or not you feel like these are bargains/worth the upgrade is a different matter. But, despite the likes of The Tourist and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li being in there, it's not all s**t.

Hanbuger Hill sounds interesting. You were a couple of consonants away from something weird sounding....

All I saw was Flash Gordon and Highlander, you don't get better than those!

The Fog wasn't a bad transfer it's an up-convert of the DVD (or just a DVD on a Blu-ray disc) with some boosted brightness!

I think I might buy Oliver Stone's The Doors and The Faculty.

You're right, that was very close to upping the film to an 18 certificate...

It was an 18 certificate but it never had a hill made of hamburgers in it....

I found this with this dislamier:

Review of Hamburger Hill

Many know the name from the Clint Eastwood film depicting the events of May 10 to May 21, 1969, when U.S. Airborne Troops stood toe-to-toe with heavily dug-in Vietnamese forces in order to stop North Vietnamese movement through the A Shau valley and south.
Well I guess Mr. Eastwood's made a few war films, so it's easy to get confused.

I picked up che parts 1+2 as I've never seen them so I thought it was a pretty good deal. Gunna pick a few more too if the deal is still on next Friday.
