Heavy Rain - Blu-ray Forum

For anyone who hasn't seen this, or to those of you who forgot, here is Heavy Rain:

If anyone remembers Indigo Prophecy(Farenheit), it was one of the most overlooked games on the PS2, but it was one of the best ones as well. This is Quantic Dream's "sequal". I checked ebgames.com and they have a release date of 6-1 I think. I doubt it will release that early, but this year would be awesome.

Anyway, there have been some rumors around the web that this is not going to be only a PS3 game, yet alot of rumors say this game is ONLY possible on the PS3. On Quantic dream's website it says the game is for "next gen consoles" or something along those lines.

If anyone has information about the game, this would be a good place to gather it. Even if you haven't heard about this game before, go check out that trailer- it's amazing.

I remember that game very well. I don't know much more then you do. There have been some ps3 games that haven't had much light shed on them in a while. Heavy Rain was one. Killzone was another. Interseller Marine was a third. I think that the trailer was meant to be more of a demonstration then an actual game. We'll have to wait and see what happens in the years to come.

There were rumours that SCEE picked it up for exclusive publishing but that's all I saw, no proof. Doesn't really strike me as something that compliments SCEE's existing or upcoming work but who knows, new generation, new partnerships?

QD have been 'renovating' for some time now..

I think they were just demonstrating the technology that would be present in the game in terms of graphics. The range of facial expressions in that demo was farm more dynamic than anything we've seen before.

You are right about that. It's possible that in the future someone will take that demo and make something out of it. or the trailer may be cancelled at a later date, but some of the ideas might be used in something else. I'd be very hard pressed if nothing was done at all.
