Anyone else looking forward to this? An atrocious DVD has already been released. This new Blu-ray edition, however, has additional footage, with everything scanned from the original 16 mm negatives.

I will probably add this to my collection. I'm a big Hendrix fan. I'll wait for the review here before running out to purchase though. I hope they do it justice. I never saw him live, so to me this is the next best thing.

AQ will be pretty decent as the show was presumably multitracked. I'm wondering about PQ.

That's good to know and from IMDb it was filmed in 35mm so very promising if they give it enough attention.

Edit: This site mentions that the video is taken from 16 mm, so I guess IMDb is wrong, sorry

I don't know if this as also been mentioned but Sony Music is also releasing another Hendrix BD on the same day.

Obviously, the MAIN piece of importance is the AUDIO Quality. If the PQ is 3/5 or a bit better, that's fine. Sure, nobody wants a 2/5 or 2.5/5 rating but the Audio had better be 3.5/5 or better for this to be considered worth getting, right

For something 42 yrs old, as long as it's not Horrible, I'd think most fans could live with it. The MAIN thing is how it Sounds (IMO
