Default Blu-ray Shelving

I just purchased a new home and am in need of a STURDY yet AFFORDABLE shelving unit to hold my many Blu-Rays. I currently have over 400 movies - however am looking for shelving to hold many more as my collection expands. I have searched Ebay and Amazon with not much luck. They are either way over priced or cheap with sagging shelves reviews.
Does anyone know of an online store to purchase a large, attractive, sturdy and affordable shelving unit to hold and display my blus? I really need help in my search! Thank you !!

Target has a shelf that is meant for books (about 12" deep) that works well for blus. It's $30 and has 5 shelves, I added 2 shelves to mine and it works great!

Thank you ! I take it that adding shelves to it is on the easy side?

Yeah, they sell shelving at places like Menards, Lowes or Home Depot.

I have one of these on either side of my entertainment stand and I'm pleased. My only complaint is that the top shelf is CD sized, which I feel is a waste. They may be a bit more than you want to spend, but considering the space, I feel they're worth it.

(Also, if you have any friends who are employees of Best Buy and don't mind hooking you up with their discount, you can score them for literally half off.)

How sturdy is that shelf? Any pics of the front & side of yours (loaded up)?

I'd like something that has a higher 'blu-ray per square foot'. My shelf is nice, but the one you linked to has 8 blu-ray shelves and looks a bit longer too.

This is what my shelf looks like:

This one is pretty nice looking, it will definitely hold a ton of em. I bought one and might buy another someday when I have that many blu-rays.

I just purchased that exact one from walmart
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sauder-O-S...herry/13044874

It was easy to assemble and it will hold about 325 blus. It's perfect for someone like me who is just starting to build up their collection. (The OP will need a much bigger one)

Looks good...How many single blus fit in each section? 23? 25? (tough to see). Also, do blus fit alright in the bottom shelf?

I might have to pick one of them up, I'd like a bit more shelf space.

With slips, 21-22 (my one Disney shelf has 21, the next has 22). Without slips, 26. A mixture of the two would obviously fall somewhere in between.

The bottom shelf is the same size as the rest, so they fit fine. This excludes the top shelf, however, which is CD sized.

i took 2 bookcases (alot like the target ones mentioned a few posts back...as side towers, put long shelves in between and added a couple heavy duty ones for the TV and components. Its still rough (needs trimmed out) to really look built in, but it holds my collection closing in on 1,000 with room for about 600 more... (note in the pic I was around 400) and I will remove the 2 front speakers and put in another shelf when my collection warrants it.

The weird camera angle makes the center shelves appear bowed, but they aren't...yet

is your center channel really blocked by your tv?

Yeah that was at the time. I have moved it up a hair and tilted it a bit foreward to keep the entire speaker surrounds above the line of the tv. I cannot notice any reflections of the tv

I used to have one of these, but found that over time the shelves started sagging.... Found this at Target, and fell in love... Love having divided shelves. I've almost got 1 filled, and will be buying a 2nd one soon...

The long "floating shelves" look nice and can hold alot, because you screw them into your studs and dont have to worry about sagging..
