BtD was a great show and I think the only reason why it got canceled was because they moved it to Mondays and no one watched it. Who wants to watch HBO on a Monday... so lame. They could have put it on anytime on Sunday like now. There is nothing showing on HBO why couldnt they have had it on now. So stupid. Sometimes the things HBO does makes no sense.

![]() The LEAST they can do is give the show an hour long special of some kind! You know, to really wrap up the show, which Season 3 didn't in my opinion! |

Signed all the petitions.
I blind bought S1 and S2 of this. No regret in sight! ![]() Great show. Didn't see the "incest" episode(s) yet. But I wouldn't ever say thats a mistake. Incest is more awkward to see in movies/TV than it is disgusting. |

So it's apparently not just a scene in 'Bored To Death'.
Jonathan Ames did it in real life... ![]() Quote:

As much as I would appreciate a TV film, I wouldn't hold your breath. Like the article states almost every "Canceled too soon" series on HBO had been either promised or talked about a TV Movie continuation and they never happen. Not even for "Deadwood."

I enjoyed the first season, but I never finished the second. From what I did see, the first season seemed stronger. It is a shame HBO canceled this and How to Make it in America, which was just starting to develop...now we have Girls instead, great.

And that's fine. The ratings dropped for Bored to Death, How to Make it in America and Hung so they cancelled them. Enlightened didn't have great ratings either but it did get nominated for awards. It seems pretty clear that HBO is aiming for award winning (or at least nominated) shows and those three weren't doing it for them.
Girls, even if you don't like it has been doing well and is critically acclaimed. Both Girls and Veep were renewed after two or three episodes. But here's some potentional good news: http://www.slashfilm.com/bored-death-movie-works/ |
