Can this site be trusted for software updates?

Sharp doesn't have any updates for this player on their site, but poking around the net I found this one. Anyone have any experience with this? Is this site legit or am I about to kill my computer?

I would not trust third party websites that make their own firmware. That website you listed might also just be coping the Sharp official firmware and it might be safe.

If your Blu-ray player has a Internet connection the best and safest way to install firmware is to go into the Blu-ray players menu to install it.

Here is the official Sharp website if you need to manually install firmware or read the instruction manual for your Blu-ray player.
