WMV not recognised in my PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

is this normal? I thought firmware 2.10 enables WMV support?

Only VC-1 (WMA Standard V2) WMV's at the moment.

so what is mine? I am unfamiliar with VC-1/WMV codecs.
I just simply convert it to WMV that normally produced my Windows Movie Maker.

I already deleted my older MP4 iPOD encodes from both my PS3.. Guess I got to re-do it for 400 videos

will it not play wmv avc encodes?

i have lots of high def (hd-dvd) rips used to use my 360 to play them but will ps3

Did you enable WMV playback from the settings menu?

I think it only said enable atrac and enable wma. that is all. I haven't activated it in my UK PS3, but it was pre-activated on my japanese PS3
