I just got into my Youtube inbox and low and behold, I had a 360 fangay (its just what I like to call 360 fans) right there. They are like the most annoying people in the entire world. In some ways, I just want to kill them more than Bin Laden, because they spread somethin' worse than terrorism...fear, uncertanty and doubt. I'm probably he's a damn patriotic nerd who hates anything foriegn, including any American held coloneys. His username was elitexwars (no prizes for where he got elite) and heres what I mailed back to him:

Here's why I think you bash MY console:
You people always say that it has more games. Hello, it's been around for a year longer than than the PS3 is. What did the 360 have in its first year? Nothing! You still say its $600. For the love of God, it costs $400. Hell, its just a bit more than the Elite (which I can see where you got your username, like all the other 360 fangays). I agree that Live is better than Network in terms of content, but with Home comin' out, it will blow XBL away in terms of social networking. You probably even say that HD DVD is infinity times better than BD. Well I tell you what, right now HD DVD is on its deathbed right now and all it has to survive is Paramount and Universal and it won't be long until they defect. And yet, you STILL defend a console in which all it does is break down. The only reason you bash Sony is because of jeliousy, jeliousy of the fact Sony did better than everyone else in the last 2 generations. Hell, even EA said the PS3 will do better than the 360 this year and people are now taking the console seriously, as the PS3 outsold the the 360 for the first time in the USA with 269,000 consoles sold, only 5,000 behind the Wii and 39,000 more than the 360. Open your eyes and you'll see which console is the better one, although you'll probably just mail me back exactly the opposite of what I just said. You my sir are probably the nerd. You can go back to that Halo 3 and Mass Effect of yours which we will just get on the PC. So in short PS3 is the better console, and if your not down with that, we've got two words for ya: SUCK IT!

this is a problem these days in video games with fan boys that are just close to insane. Look the 360 seriously is a POS with good games, and online. After mine broke twice, and finished playing bioshock it's been collecting dust since the games are on the PS3. Although this means nothing I'm truly tired of fanboy on any frequency including the Blu-ray vs Hd-dvd war. Let's just enjoy the products and ignore stuff like this.

Well there are a little more points to the PS3 argument. I have both systems, but I favor my PS3 heavily and it's mostly because of BD. The PS3 however receives much more unfounded criticism as opposed to the 360 so it seems that the Microsoft fan boys are mindless drones and won't see any rhyme or reason...granted Sony has a few like this as well.

The PS3 gets ragged on because of games...well they were lacking in their first year, but so was the 360 and the Wii for that matter...08' looks good.

The price seemed to be a major factor for some...sure it was expensive, but it is an awesome piece of machinery and when the features are broken down compared to the 360 with specific add-ons the value is with the PS3.

Some felt like BD was being forced down their throat...well it was and it was a great move by Sony and I believed it greatly helped BD to become the format of the future.

Online features are not as good as Live...this is true and the PSN is a few years behind, but it's still nice that it's free and I can play online with any compatible game with no issues.

Graphically most games look the same or some might think they're better on the 360...I truly believe the 360 is close to being tapped out in terms of graphics potential while I believe the PS3 has so much room to grow that time will only show how much of a difference there is. Time will also help developers strengthen their games on BD.

If these numbers are wrong please correct me, but I read the failure rate on the PS3 is something like 0.02% while the 360 is around 30% since inception. I also read that the current hardware is down to something around 10%, but that's still a lot higher than the PS3. I remember there being a big effort to scare consumers into believing that your PS3 would blow up or burn in your house.

I think the 360 has done exceptionally well with what they have, but to me there really is no comparison between the two...although it may not be too apparent to everyone now.

I talked with a guy who hated every game the PS3 had only because he had problems with his PS2. He thought in R:FOM all you were doing was walking around...I was shocked...I loved that game. Anyway he said the reason he hated Sony was because he had to take his PS2 back twice...OK that sucks, but he was in the minority. Then I asked if he had any problems with his 360 and he said that he actually had to return it twice as well...he lost all credibility with me.

I realize I am now just blabbing on and I'm sorry.

There are a lot of similarities between the ugly polarization that happened between Blu-ray and HD-DVD and between PS3 and 360.

The one similarity I would like to point out is Microsoft's involvment and their tactics of slinging mud and influencing media they own or have relations with (both printed and online). By using the medias to create FUD and bias, they succeed in brainwashing the weak of mind who then become converts and fans that adds fuel to the fire in form of bloggers and posters. It then spreads and starts rubbing off on independent media who just repeats what they hear because they are too lazy to do research. I call it "the internet mob effect". Something that MS excels at using.

In the end that's what happened with Blu-ray and PS3. It can be reversed but it takes a lot of time and effort to do. Thanks to people at Blu-ray.com for their part and other sane posters out there.

Also, if Microsoft succeeds in taking over Yahoo, it will get worse next product around.

even though the Xbox 360 guys do annoy me I tend not to particiapte in the arguments. For 1 i work in Gamestop, not any of my business, and 3 if anyone believes the fud then they are equally stupid and get a better source for information

Why even argue? The two systems are too different. The PS3 is a powerhouse that won't be obsolete for many years to come. The 360 is already struggling with many new titles and will soon need to be replaced.

Wasting your time arguing with apples and oranges...

FACT: The XBOX360 is the biggest console manufacturing disaster ever . How anybody can dispute 'that' is beyond me. The Hardware failure rate speaks for its self. These "kids" calling each other names over this hole thing is just immaturity at its finest.

Okay, I might have gone a bit over the top with this argument but it's not the console that I hate. It's the people who defend it. They are just so goddamn annoyin' and they just won't stop at nothin' to try and bash our console. It's just the same old blah blah blah, on how their console is better with no proof. Can you tell me why none of these 360/HD DVD turkeys give any hard evidence. I don't know myself. Okay, will someone close the thread already, even I found this to be a bad idea, please?

i've got nothing against the 360, but i won't buy one simply because 90% of it's titles are/will come to PC anyhow (and at better than 1280x720 resolution too).

i believe you're right. someone correct if i'm wrong, but i heard the 360 runs at 80% capacity on Gears of War (which is about the same time 360's started failing en mass) whereas only a quarter of the PS3's potential has been tapped so far.
i heard FF8 pushed the PS1 to it's limits, and that was years after it was released. i expect the same thing to happen to the PS3, it'll be a couple more years before before games utilize it's full power and when that happens it'll be just like the first time you saw the graphics for FF8.
