Default MARVEL'S THE AVENGERS - Master List of ALL Special/Limited/Collector's Editions

I’d personally like to know about every single special/limited/collector’s edition that Marvel’s The Avengers/Avengers Assemble is going to receive, so I’ve decided to make a thread that consolidates all of them into one simple list. I didn’t include the regular editions (i.e. the 2-disc Combo Pack, the 4-Disc 3D Combo Pack, Canada’s Bilingual editions, etc.), only the ones that’re truly special. If I’m missing any, please do let me know so I can add them to the list! Now, without further ado… ASSEMBLE!!!

Nice list. Though isn't the German SB a 3-disc set? It says it includes a 3D Blu-Ray, 2D Blu-ray and a bonus disc.

Hmm... I guess the way that I read that was that the 3D disc was the bonus disc.

I'll change it! Thanks!

Thank you tridon.

Only idea I can suggest is perhaps countries together. It's rather difficult searching for all of one countries exclusives.

Is there a best buy exclusive yet?

A user Scorpion Soldier submitting this in April 2012. Is this confirmed...?

That's what I'm waiting on. You can bet there will be one, it's just not announced yet. As of right now I'll have to go with the non 3D Target exclusive myself.

I guess I could figure out a way to organize it by country rather than by retailer. Glad you dig the thread, though!

As for a Best Buy exclusive, there's been no confimation yet as far as I know. I'm pretty sure that the Viva Metal Box is staying in Canada this time, though. I remember reading that Best Buy would be receiving a bunch of the 2012 releases, but not all of them.

very helpful thread! I've read that the UK editions will include the 90-minute feature but I'm getting worried since everyone else seems to have it on another disc.

Sweet. Seems the U.S. is one of the few countries not getting a steelbook at this point. Guess it depends on if BB steps up to the plate!

Perhaps target with an ironpak like last time, though we now know it's just a bonus disc.

Was the Iron Man 2 ironpak a one off for target? They usually do either bonus discs or digibook exclusives.

Thanks for this list, tridon. I'll probably pick-up the SB from Germany and the metal case from FS then gather all the unique slipcovers.

No more slaving for all releases. Viva case + Target release. And I'm done.

I might just skip the steelbook altogether and go for that Target 3D set.

excellent thread Tridon! what would be nice is if you would put which places don't ship to other countries, i.e., who doesn't ship to the USA etc. lots of folks will be asking that. it would be nice to have say an asterik * next to the countries and then at the bottom state what the * means i.e., * doesn't ship to the USA, **does ship to the USA etc.

thank you very much for creating this. it will be very useful to a lot of folks!

I feel the same way about the Steelbooks. If I'm going to get any one, it'll be the German one because at least it's unique compared to the others. As for slips... ugh... sooooo many! As of right now, I want the 2D, 2D DVD packaging, 3D, 2D Target exclusive, 3D Target exclusive, 2D Canadian bilingual, 3D Canadian bilingual and the two FNAC slipcovers. Plus I think I'd want that Brazilian tin and the France set with the little figures. I'm gonna have to really try to hold myself back with this release.

Who are you and what have you done to the real G:Box?

Thank you, and you're very welcome! If others comment with which retailers ship to other countries and which do not, I can add that info... otherwise it'd just take too much time hunting all that info down. I can tell you that Future Shop doesn't ship internationally, though... that I know for sure!

I have a friend from Brazil over at another forum and she said that that site is really good. Not sure how they'd be with international shipping, but they were good during her experience.

Superb thread

Seeing this only makes me more angry about UK releases of big-name films - yeah, HMV have the exclusive steelbook which looks very nice, but the 6 disc Avengers boxset looks terrible compared to the epic 10 disc US Avengers Assembled collection. I would buy the US version, but with it coming in at just over £100, and with the p&p to pay on top of that, there's no way I'm that desperate to see those bonus features

Has anyone from the UK plumped for the US version, by any chance?

Guess I just made my decision. Looks like I could be losing my job, so it'll be just the one 3D Target edition for me.

Very true. Then again, I'm just one of the little guys and little guys are just puppets to the big guys with the bling. Once they're done with you, they just throw you away and replace you like you were never even there.

Anyway... back to The Avengers!
