Default Which sub out of these 3..

http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/lfmEX.html
http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/vtf-2mk4.html
http://www.epiksubwoofers.com/legend.html
Looks like 1 and 2 are essentially the same. Doesn't epik have a problem with the amps on the legend? I want something that won't break the bank that can hit lower than 20 hz..

Well all do not include shipping. Since that is the case, I think you should get this one since it is just $50 more than the Outlaw...

VTF-3 MK4

If no, then I would get the Outlaw

But then you are pushing into an SVS PB/PC-12, and I would take that over all that has been mentioned IMO. And their price includes shipping...

I want something that will be tight and you don't have to crank to get nice deep bass out of it. Also,I have carpeted floors,so does it matter if its side/front or down firing?

Both subs have been designed by Dr Hsu, so both would be good quality subs.

I think the Outlaw would be great, but if you want to save $160(price difference with shipping) get the Hsu. Heck put it towards another Hsu sub and have duals. I have read of issues with the Legend, but I wont comment cause who knows what those people were doing with them. It could be an amp issue, it could be stupidity. FWIW, every Hsu sub I have heard as been great. The new Q tuning is a pretty cool feature Id like to see in person. Ill assume the Outlaw is just as great.

SVS is another option.

Funky Waves makes some nice subs going by their reputation on AVS. The FW10.1 is in your price range.

Outlaw is having a "B" stock sale right now and you can get a great price on the LFM1-EX which is a great sub. I have heard nothing but good things about the B stock products and i believe there is free shipping as well. If i was in the market at that price point i wouldn't hesitate. Sale ends on the 16th i believe.

I ended up getting an Epik Legend. Nice sub, built like a tank. Nice tight sound. Great for music. Its bottomed out a few times during movies,I wonder if its because its new and not broken in yet..?

I would go with the VTF-2 MK4 Subwoofer for its value-for-money features. I guess Q Control and Hybrid Tuning will give the best bass control than the other two sub-woofers. Checked for its reviews on the net. They are good as well. Was rated 4 on 5.

I thought you couldn't get the Epik subs to bottom or make bad noises? It sounds like you may need more sub or perhaps a second legend down the line.
