It's a film that has been in the public domain for many years, so I will wait for reviews before buying.

Frank Sinatra made two films with a plot revolving around a Presidential assassination, Suddenly and The Manchurian Candidate. However, Suddenly became somewhat infamous when allegations came out that Lee Harvey Oswald had watched the film just a few days before the President Kennedy assassination. Rumor also has it that Sinatra, after learning of the allegations, had the prints of both films removed from circulation for a few years due to his friendship with the former President.

I don't know how much of this is true, but because of the scandalousness of it all and the strength of the films, these would make an interesting double feature. Definitely looking forward to a review on this!

Yeah, chances of a particularly impressive BD are pretty slim, I would think.

Chances of it being better than the DVDs floating around aren't too bad though.

It's not a particularly good movie but it does have a certain rough charm.

If it's halfway decent and the price is right...

I have a decent copy of this PD film, and it's not half bad. It's got a pretty cool set-up imo.
I like Sinatra a lot, and the twist at the beginning really floored me.
obviously like everyone else, I realize this bd probably won't look that good, but it's a cool choice for a pd release.

With the apparent Image release coming in December, I would not touch any "Suddenly" release by lesser knowns. I think it takes risk on Images part to release a public domain item which will likely have an image worthy of their name, so in return they will certainly get my business.
