I use Mac Blu-ray Player on my Mac. It can also support any formats of movie, video, audio and music. It has a convenient interface and layout as well as the hardware acceleration technique. The developers of this software also develop AirX. AirX can be used to play Blu-ray movies in iPhone or iPod or iPad.

I use Mac blu ray player as well but also Dvdfab media player. If the blu ray doesn't work on one it will work on the other. Anyways, they both work but neither is perfect.

Ripping BD's is illegal and it's discussion is not allowed on this site.

No it's illegal in the U.S. due to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

I run a video company and we tend to save our final products on BR for use later.. But if you're telling me its illegal to rip then there is a problem..

So according to you we cant discuss how to get our own video of BD discs because its illegal, am I correct?

Ripping BDs is not illegal unless you sell copies.
But if you legally own a copy of the disc you can make backups all you want.

The moderator is correct it is legal to make a backup copy of material you own but it is illegal to bypass the encryption protecting that media if the studio wishes to incorporate said encryption. I am sure they will close this thread soon. as for a backup of media that is unprotected like personal home movies that you shot and burned then most optical disk software will work. I have burned my own video files (that I shot and own) to blu-ray using several retail software suites.

Thanks,
T

No that's fine - we're taking about the ripping of consumer movie titles. It is illegal to rip per say, "The Lorax", but it's ok for your own non-encrypted videos or vides that you own the copyright to.

I'm going to close ths thread now.
