although I love the show, and I would like to see EVERYTHING ever filmed available on Blu-Ray, I don't feel the urge to replace my standard DVDs of this show with Blu right away...... given the "shakey camera" style of filming, and the nature of the show, etc. there is a lot more I'm waiting for on Blu/HD DVD first.....

GREAT SHOW though!

GREAT SHOW though!

well everything up until the latest Season was shot with SD handycams, so DVDs are the best you're going to get.

I realize that it wouldn't look as good as seasons 6 and 7 (because they were filmed in HD), but why can't they still release the earlier seasons on BD? I assume it would still be an upgrade to the DVD versions.

So sad we don't get a Blu-Ray for the seventh season yet, especially since it was the first season to be shot in HD. I've vowed to never buy another DVD, I may have to break that vow. Such a good season.

Can't believe Season 7 won't be on blu-ray. It was filmed in HD too.

which is a big shame. Has it been confirmed they won't release it?

I think that once Curb finishes, or David decides that eight is the end, we may see a blu-ray release. I mean, they're doing a complete series box set for Entourage, so I don't see how Curb won't get one eventually. Here's hoping, anyway...

These networks have become heavily vested in streaming instead of physical media. We don't even have How I Met Your Mother or The Unit entirely on Blu-ray and those series started more recently than Curb Your Enthusiasm. At this point in time, you can safely bet they will NOT be releasing this in HD on physical disc as it doesn't seem to be a revenue generator like it once was in the past.

It's ridiculous that it was created and broadcast in HD, but I can't buy it to own physically in HD.

Even if I was a fan of streaming and didn't want a physical copy - streaming doesn't give me possession, I'd want a physically downloaded copy.

Not entirely true. SD-BD could be better than the DVDs as it would offer superior SD quality uncompressed.

Anyway, we're in 2019 and people still call BD/Blu-rays as "Blu-Ray".. sigh.

Unless you'd actually get it DRM free, then you wouldn't get to keep it either. It's like digital games, you get to keep them "forever" as long as your account is active or else that license is revoked and you can't access them anymore. Heh, I thought the digital Xbox 360 games really were to keep forever but nope, you need to verify your license.

Somehow never managed to see this show back in the day and it wasn't until around the time of its revival that I got on board. Definitely an awesome show and the cast are improv genuises.
